Biography
Jun Qiu, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tongji University. In 2004, he graduated from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2001, he was a research fellow at the Osaka Industrial Research Institute, Japan. In 2008, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Professor Qiu Jun is the winner of Shanghai Yucai Award and won the first prize of Shanghai Excellent Teaching Achievement Award. Professor Qiu Jun has been engaged in the research of polymer matrix composites,electromagnetic and photothermal functional composites for a long time. He has presided over more than 30 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, including National high-tech Research and Development Program projects and National Natural Science Foundation projects. He has been authorized more than 60 national invention patents in the field of structural and functional composites. More than 100 research papers have been published in academic journals such as Advanced Functional Materials, and three professional works have been published. He is also vice president of Shanghai Plastics Engineering Technology Society, a special expert of Shanghai New Materials Industry development Strategy Advisory Expert Committee, and a member of the Technical Committee of Shanghai Engineering Plastics Engineering Technology Research Center.

Professor Jun Qiu has been engaged in the research of polymer matrix composites and electromagnetic functional composites for a long time, presided over or participated in more than 40 national and provincial research projects, has been authorized more than 60 national invention patents, published more than 100 academic papers, and published 3 professional works.
